The Ritz Ballroom in Desborough is run by Karl & Marco, playing across the board music (Northern, Modern, Motown & RNB) in this fantastic venue with it's balcony over looking the dance floor, at one time the venue used to have two rooms with a Modern room upstairs.
You always get a warm welcome from Karl & Marco at this event & their is always a good atmosphere, plus there is a massive record stall for the record collectors.

How I first got on to the soul scene.
in to the soul scene in 1975. I used to go to the Central hall all
dayers and St.Ives, Peterborough, cleethorpes and yate all nighters and lotsof other venues
Glenn Bellamy really got me in to record collecting and DJing in 1976.
I used to DJ soul nights at the Windmill Club in Kettering, the North
park and the corn market hall and many other venues in the area.

Marco and myself have been soul friends for around about 30 years and I
first started promoting with Glenn Bellamy in 1995 at the Kettering
Leisure Village and Glenn stepped down from promoting after a couple of
years to concentrate on his record business, so Marco came on board to
help Me carry on with the KLV.
From there we went to the Ritz at
Desborough and I promoted smaller venues over the last 15 years.
One of my favourite records is Bobby Hutton- Lend a hand.
