Nene Valley Soul Club
Nene Valley Soul Club is a new venue to the area and is run by Malc Gibbons (Gibby).

The first event took place on Saturday 9th August 2008 with his resident DJ Baz Looker leading the way on the decks playing Northern, Motown and Classics, I think Gibby must of been pleased with how the first night went, with guest DJ Steve Brown playing some great tunes.

The event takes place at Irthlingborough Band Club and runs from 8pm to very late, cheap beer and the added bonus of a burger bar across the road, the hot dogs were great.
The Malc Gibbons (Gibby) Story
Gibby who is passionate about his soul music and has been on the scene longer than most of us, but today he has the same enthusiasm as when he first came on the scene.
Gibby first started as a DJ in 1965 at the George Inn at Wilby with the late Brian Tompkins, he had radio DJs as guests such as Johnny Walker, Emporer Rosko and Mike Raven, they also had live acts such as Fontella Bass etc.
Gibby was also on the decks as a DJ at the Tin Hat in Kettering and the Shades in Northampton,which had many live acts.such as Jimmy Ruffin and Tammi Lynn just to mention a couple.
He had DJ appearances at three all-nighters such as Bletsoe, Kelmarsh and Earls Barton dog track.

Gibby has also done many more gigs around Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
Recently Gibby has been a guest DJ at Manhattans (Tenerife), Crewe Soul Club, The George (Stoke-on-Trent) and not to forget "WE GOT SOUL!" in Wellingborough.
